ƛaʔuukʷiʔatḥ (Tla-o-qui-aht) 10-in-10 Digital Learning Platform

We at OLA Strategy are deeply honoured to have partnered with the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nations to help create a new, powerful resource for the community: the Tin Wis 10-in-10 Digital Learning Platform.

This "learning campus" is a core part of the Tla-o-qui-aht "10 in 10" Vision—a community-led plan for the Nation to earn 10% of the regional tourism market in 10 years.

This free, online platform is designed for all Tla-o-qui-aht entrepreneurs and community members. As Maria Clark, General Manager of the Best Western Tin Wis Resort, says, it’s a place where "anybody with an idea, or an aspiration to start their own business can come... and ask for assistance or ideas, mentorship."

Wisdom From the Community, For the Community

This isn't just another business course. It’s a collection of wisdom from the community, for the community.

We had the privilege of sitting down with Tla-o-qui-aht leaders, elders, and entrepreneurs to create a series of intimate mini-documentaries and practical workshops. These share personal journeys, cultural wisdom, and real-world business advice.

As Terry Dorward shares, this is about more than just data; it's about knowledge that "becomes a part of you." You will learn directly from community members like:

  • Maria Clark

  • Saya Masso

  • Terry Dorward

  • Leah Morgan

  • Elmer Frank

  • Tattuuskulth Charlie

  • Hayden Seitcher & Bryson George

  • Eli Enns

  • ...and many more.

What You Will Learn

The free, self-paced courses are designed to give you the confidence and practical skills to build your dream. You'll explore essential topics, including:

  • Leadership & Mindset: Learn how to build fearlessness, find your grounding, and understand that "every step you take in the direction you want to go... is a step in the right direction."

  • Practical Business Planning: Hear from leaders like Elmer Frank on how to build a 5-year, 25-year, or even a 60-year plan for your vision.

  • Cultural Entrepreneurship: Build a business that has a deep "connection to my people" and is rooted in community values.

  • Community & Abundance: Explore the teaching that "our society was built on... the more you gave away" and how that builds true, lasting abundance.

Watch the Preview

We’ve just released a preview video to give you a first look at this powerful new platform. Hear directly from your community, see what’s inside, and get inspired to start your journey.

As your community leaders say, "We deserve abundance," and "You control your own destiny."
